Denny’s South Keys
2208 Bank Street, Ottawa, ON

When you come in the main door,  walk straight ahead to the back room.

This is where we met last month and is at South Keys Shopping Centre, right near Bank Street. Check the www.ottawasfs.ca web site for details or contact exec@ottawasfs.ca
Hopefully the weather will be better this time.

Last month we featured local authors and their books. They are welcome to bring books again but we would like our artist members–painters, artists and cartoonists–to bring out their works for showing off or sale. We know there’s lots of creative folks in our group and would like to see what all they do. If you have a favourite piece of SFF or Horror bring it along for everyone to enjoy.

Please email events@ottawasfs.ca to let us know how many to expect.

For the first time in 30 years — and only the fourth time ever — the Canadian Science Fiction and Fantasy Association (CSFFA) is bestowing a Lifetime Achievement award, and the recipient is Ottawa-born author Robert J. Sawyer. Sawyer is to get his award in Ottawa on Oct. 6. He is one of only eight writers — and the only Canadian — to win all three of the world’s top awards for best science-fiction novel of the year:
